Event Showcase

"Emerging Voices" exhibits art from young artists representing East Asain culture just making their first step into the artistic universe.

Purpose

With paintings steeped in Asian mythology, Emerging Voices reflects the diverse, inclusive culture of the state of Maryland. We hope this exhibit raises awareness and inspires artists of all ages to continue uplifting our communities and culture.

Information

Visit our art exhibition at the MaryLand State Comproller's Annapolis Office on August 29th. Reception will be open during the exhibition in an alternative hall.

Focus: Wanqing Huang

9 years old, Title of the artwork: "Tree of Life" The painting portrays a majestic tree surrounded by steps, standing on a lake adorned with blooming lotus flowers. It symbolizes the journey of life that humans go through.

Focus: Lin Mi

9 years old, Title of the artwork: "Realm of the Dragon" This artwork depicts scenes from a dream, where the artist is transported to a fantastical realm through a magic cube. A gigantic dragon resides in the sky, held by a stone hand, while illuminated buildings inspired by both the Orient and Egypt serve as the backdrop. Additionally, a floating space station laboratory from the future can be seen in the air.

Focus: Yue Niu

9 years old, Title of the artwork: "Gateway to the Universe" Within a lush rainforest, there exists a grand gate that leads to the universe. By reaching out, one can touch the starry sky through this omnipresent doorway.
